Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our financial team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analysis to support our strategic decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Perform complex balance sheet and income statement analyses, identifying trends, variances, and potential areas of concern.
  • Manage the accruals process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reflected in the financial statements.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining detailed and organized records of all transactions.
  • Conduct regular ledger reviews and reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies or irregularities promptly.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Continuously review and improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards, implementing necessary changes in internal processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the engineering industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Experience with accruals, journal entries, and ledger management.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies in financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
