Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Permanent Property Accountant to enhance our finance team.

This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a finance expert eager to advance their career in a dynamic financial environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Property Accounting. This position provides an excellent platform to refine your skills and contribute to our organization's financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Property Accountant, your duties will include:

  • Overseeing daily operations within the accounting department, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Property Accounting.
  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports regularly, offering insights to the management team.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinating and completing annual audits.
  • Enhancing systems and procedures while initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Establishing and enforcing sound accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Conducting periodic reconciliations of all accounts to verify their accuracy.
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.
  • Collaborating with financial staff to ensure seamless daily transactions.
  • Staying informed on industry trends and regulations to maintain current knowledge.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Strong expertise in General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Property Accounting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
