Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to internal employees via inbound phone calls and chats.
Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $55,000 and $75,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
You will be trained on internal tools, systems, and processes to manage a ticketing queue and troubleshoot various issues, including password resets, server issues, VPN/connection problems, and software-related issues.
During the first week, you will complete compliance courses, followed by a 1-week instructor-led virtual training. After training, you will move into designated shifts and begin taking phone calls, with support from managers and colleagues to answer questions and provide on-the-job training.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 12-24 months of previous technology experience in a similar Service Desk environment or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to process large amounts of information in a customer-focused manner
- Proficiency in using existing knowledge base content to search for known solutions and implement workarounds
- Able to follow directions and efficiently triage problems, use solutioning tools, and escalate incidents as needed
- Familiarity with Microsoft software products, such as Windows 10, Windows security updates/patching, O365, Outlook email, Teams, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructures
