Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team at McCarthy Building Companies. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development through strategic planning, market analysis, and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Business Development Plan: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target markets, identify new business opportunities, and develop strategies to pursue them.
  • Leveraging and Teaming: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective strategies to address business opportunities and overcome obstacles.
  • Managing and Forecasting Sales Pipeline: Qualify potential opportunities, manage the sales pipeline, and provide realistic sales forecasts to leadership.
  • Positioning and Selling: Build relationships at multiple levels of accounts, develop sales strategies, and present the McCarthy solution to clients.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in commercial construction and business development.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record of success in winning business in challenging markets, strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with clients.
What We Offer

McCarthy Building Companies is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We offer a competitive salary range of $160,000 to $200,000, plus possible bonus and other benefits. Compensation may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
