Job Title: Event Operations Coordinator Department: Events Division
Reports To: Events Director FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Hourly Rate: $23 per hour

Role Overview
In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for crafting safe and memorable experiences for patrons and clients. You will be required to make timely decisions even in situations with limited information. You will ensure that the facility's condition before and after events meets established quality and safety standards. Your leadership will foster a positive atmosphere where the events team is inspired to excel.

Key Performance Indicators
  • Exhibit personal accountability for the quality and punctuality of work executed by the Events team.
  • Maintain the Event team's focus on objectives despite interruptions and distractions.
  • Observe behaviors that either contribute to or detract from the team's success.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats in a respectful, timely, and clear manner.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction throughout the event cycle to ensure exceptional service and event experiences.
  • Encourage team input to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the facility by overseeing crew leaders, event assistants, contracted event or security personnel, and volunteers.
  • Address public safety incidents to determine appropriate actions, including evacuation, medical response, or security measures; serve as the Center's lead until emergency services arrive.
  • Ensure the facility's readiness from both a safety and patron experience perspective.
  • Enforce compliance with public and staff safety regulations, policies, and procedures during events and work shifts.
  • Manage Crew Leaders and Event Assistants, including scheduling, time tracking, training, guidance, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee proper event setup and breakdown, janitorial duties, and limited technical requirements before, during, and after events.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation, time records, and incident reports.
