Lead Configuration Specialist

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst for a hybrid contract opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Configuration Analyst will collaborate with top-tier, multi-disciplinary design professionals in a critical role focused on managing product revision control.
This position offers the chance to design, develop, and enhance documentation traceability efforts across manufacturing and engineering design teams.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to tracking changes, ensuring that Truth, Trust, and Traceability (T3) are maintained.
Key drivers for this role include ensuring that Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) processes are fully implemented and compliant with both contractual and internal standards.
The Analyst will manage and control the configuration baseline throughout the change management process for the entire product lifecycle.
Analyzing proposed engineering changes to assess their overall impact on the product will be an engaging aspect of this role.
With minimal supervision, the analyst will log, categorize, and maintain records of manufacturing or engineering changes made against accepted customer baseline standards.
The analyst will review, monitor, and analyze Technical Data Packages, ensuring that all impacted stakeholders are appropriately informed.
A strong passion for documentation and clear communication will be highly valued in this detail-oriented and analytical position. The Analyst will also contribute to special projects and key initiatives across various sites.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree or equivalent experience/combined education with 3+ years of Configuration Management (CM) experience.
o Proficient in the application of CM-related policies, procedures, and tools.
o Ability to interpret and understand Bills of Materials (BOMs).
o Proven capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
o Strong attention to detail and business acumen.
o Self-starter with independent working attributes.
o Ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Solid organizational and document management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
o Familiarity with ERP, SharePoint, Windchill, JIRA, and/or Confluence.
o Knowledge of Configuration Management Principles and Applications SAE EIA-649C.
o Understanding of electronics manufacturing or design.
o Comprehensive knowledge of Engineering Bills of Materials and/or Manufacturing Bills of Materials.
o Technical experience in interpreting specifications.
o Previous experience in defense, aerospace, military, or logistics environments is a plus.
Education:
o Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree or equivalent experience/combined education with 3+ years of Configuration Management (CM) experience.
Shift:
4/10-1st Shift.
