Job Overview

PGS Worldwide, LLC is in search of a proficient Configuration Management Specialist to assist with various projects for a leading Aerospace organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a contract-to-hire position.

Position Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for creating, developing, and supporting documentation traceability initiatives across our manufacturing and engineering teams. A strong commitment to maintaining Truth, Trust, and Traceability (T3) is essential for success in this role. Ensuring that Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) processes are effectively executed and adhere to both contractual and internal standards will be a primary focus.

The Specialist will manage and oversee our configuration baseline throughout the change management lifecycle for assigned products. Evaluating and analyzing proposed engineering modifications to assess their impact on the product will be a key aspect of this position. With minimal oversight, the specialist will log, categorize, and maintain records of manufacturing or engineering changes against established customer baseline standards. Additionally, the specialist will review, monitor, and analyze Technical Data Packages, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are informed of any impacts.

A strong enthusiasm for documentation and clear communication will be highly valued in this detail-oriented and analytical role. The Specialist will also have the chance to contribute to special projects and key initiatives across our organization.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree or equivalent experience combined with 3+ years of Configuration Management (CM) experience
  • Experience applying CM-related policies, procedures, and tools
  • Ability to interpret and understand Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Business Acumen
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational and document management capabilities
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess an Interim Secret Clearance prior to employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
  • Familiarity with ERP, SharePoint, Windchill, JIRA, and/or Confluence
  • Understanding of Configuration Management Principles and Applications SAE EIA-649C
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing or design
  • Comprehensive understanding of Engineering Bills of Materials and/or Manufacturing Bills of Materials
  • Technical experience in interpreting specifications
  • Previous experience in defense, aerospace, military, or logistics environments is advantageous
