Controls Engineer

Sterling Engineering Inc. is seeking a talented Controls Engineer to enhance our dynamic team. The successful applicant will be tasked with the creation of innovative electrical design concepts, control panels, and comprehensive assembly drawings. Collaboration with various departments will be essential to ensure that client specifications are thoroughly addressed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical schematics and designs utilizing advanced computer-aided design tools and programming applications.
  • Identify and specify control equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and operational efficiency.
  • Examine sales orders alongside customer specifications to ensure alignment.
  • Engage with plant and field representatives to troubleshoot and resolve design challenges.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to optimize design and operational processes.
  • Design, implement, and validate PLC and HMI programming solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD electrical software.
  • Familiarity with UL and NFPA standards.
  • Solid understanding of industrial control systems.
  • A collaborative team player with strong analytical and communication capabilities.
