Position Overview:

The Electrical Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of electrical schematics and systems tailored to meet specific engineering standards. This role requires a strong foundation in automation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and refine electrical schematics and designs using advanced CAD tools and programming applications.
  • Engineer custom machinery solutions to fulfill unique client specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are conducive to efficient production processes.
  • Develop comprehensive electrical design concepts, including panels, assembly drawings, and detailed bills of materials.
  • Identify and specify control equipment, prioritizing safety, functionality, and protection of equipment.
  • Examine sales orders and customer specifications to ensure alignment with design outputs.
  • Prepare and oversee essential documentation, including revisions and certified prints, in compliance with ISO standards.
  • Work alongside plant and field representatives to troubleshoot and rectify design-related challenges.
  • Provide support across various departments, including Engineering, Customer Service, and Proposal teams.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to address design and operational requirements effectively.
  • Facilitate timely releases to meet production schedules or resolve machinery issues.
  • Design, implement, and validate PLC and HMI programming.
  • Coordinate with other departments to tackle challenges in aftermarket services, including parts classification and technical support.
  • Engage in special projects and additional responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and other CAD software.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Expertise in programming PLCs and HMI systems, particularly with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and C-more platforms.
  • Familiarity with UL, NFPA 70, 70E, and 79 standards.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems, including sensors, motors, AC/DC drives, and servo controllers.
