We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions using Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement PLC/HMI applications to meet specifications and requirements.
- Plan, evaluate, organize, and implement automation-related projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Develop electrical schematics and layouts for automation systems.
- Develop Electrical Bills of Materials for automation projects.
- Review design efforts from production teams to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot issues with existing installations and develop solutions to improve system performance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade legacy code to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Provide electrical and controls engineering expertise to support existing and new equipment.
- Develop, duplicate, and modify PLC programs for proprietary process control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in electrical controls engineering, automation, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI systems.
- Experience with electrical schematics and layouts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
