Junior Automation Implementation Engineer

Position Overview:
The Junior Automation Implementation Engineer will play a crucial role in assessing, designing, and executing processes and requirements to develop automated solutions within the Operations Teams, in collaboration with the Global Automation & Engineering team.
- Conduct evaluations of manual processes and perform Value Stream Mapping/Front Side Design assessments
- Implement Baseline Process studies, including statistical analyses to compare with automated solutions
- Contribute to the creation of a formal scorecard for existing processes
- Assist in the necessary documentation for equipment and installation procedures
- Support the collection of Lessons Learned and Feedback for ongoing improvements
- Provide formal recommendations regarding staffing, roles, and skillsets needed for automated systems
- Assist in developing training schedules and documentation for sign-offs
- Utilize Minitab for process studies and Excel Automation/VBA development
- Participate in FMEA and data analysis activities
- Identify potential risk points and formulate risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with site teams to assess ROI, Cost/Benefit, and strategic enhancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automation implementations
- Strong communication skills with a focus on collaboration
- At least 1 year of experience in Engineering Controls
- 2+ years of experience in Cost Benefit Analysis and FMEA methodologies
- 2+ years of experience in Machine/Process Stress Testing
- 1+ year of experience in Root Cause Analysis
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in Process Engineering
- Background in QA/QC Engineering
- Familiarity with PLC and Robotics
