Job Information

As a Forklift Product Support Field Representative, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, product support, and training for our forklift trucks. Your role will focus on fostering growth within National Accounts service groups, conducting warranty analysis, and troubleshooting in the field.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with Dealer Accounts to assess and enhance their service components through training and support for the products in the field.

You will offer more than just technical guidance; you will work closely with Dealer Accounts service teams on product warranty and service management.

Your duties will also involve managing warranty claims at the Dealer Accounts level, ensuring solutions are provided from the initiation of the claim until it is fully processed and closed.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver product support for company-manufactured forklifts within your designated territory.
  • Assist internal departments with service-related inquiries or projects.
  • Conduct training sessions to support Dealer Accounts service representatives.
  • Document all relevant calls in the Service Call Center.
  • Monitor and follow up on all territory issues weekly.
  • Submit a weekly report detailing activities to the general manager.
  • Review high-value warranty claims with the warranty department.
  • Provide updated technical information to Dealer Accounts.
  • Communicate effectively with all internal partners through the messaging system.
Job Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma (or GED or equivalent education); or 5 years of relevant experience.

Travel Requirements:
Travel as necessary to support Dealer Accounts within your assigned territory (up to 70%).

  • Travel may occur with or without prior notice.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Capable of effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees.
  • Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Capable of addressing problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
