Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Village Veterinary Medical Center. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing end-to-end care for our patients, working closely with our veterinarians and medical team to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Veterinarians: Assist veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care, advocating for pets, and educating clients.
  • Facilitate Patient Care: Assist with surgeries, procedures, and laboratory tests, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
  • Communicate with Clients: Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns, offering guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional services.
  • Maintain Medical Records: Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain Health History: Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Ensure Clean and Safe Environment: Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Guide and Mentor Team Members: Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prefer one year of recent experience in a veterinary setting.
  • Teamwork: Commitment to working within a team environment.
  • Positive Attitude: Positive, will-do attitude.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to multi-task in a busy work setting.
