Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the thorough management and support of the company's ERP system. The individual will be tasked with documenting business processes and workflows, providing advanced assistance to the helpdesk for technical challenges, and resolving user-reported issues. The role also includes planning and executing updates to the ERP application, working closely with development teams, and managing relationships with independent software vendors for product support and enhancements. Additional responsibilities involve overseeing EDI processes, assisting with data extraction requests, and performing other duties related to the optimization and maintenance of the ERP system's performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops documentation for business processes, customizations, and workflows.
  • Offers second-level support to the helpdesk for ERP-related issues and technical escalations.
  • Conducts troubleshooting and research to resolve end-user reported problems and inquiries.
  • Defines and implements plans to assess and finalize quarterly updates to the ERP application, including quality assurance activities.
  • Acts as a liaison between the ERP development team and helpdesk.
  • Suggests program enhancements or modifications to address known challenges.
  • Collaborates closely with the ERP development team to test and resolve issues.
  • Interacts with independent software vendors to manage product support and upgrades.
  • Oversees new and existing EDI trading partners and transactions.
  • Assists business stakeholders with ad-hoc data extraction requests.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise systems implementation and administration.
  • Familiarity with ERP functional areas, including Sales, Invoicing, Cash Receipts, Purchasing, Receiving, and Inventory Management.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable and manufacturing processes is advantageous.

Specific Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring precise and effective communication.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Demonstrated experience with small to mid-market enterprise resource planning applications, preferably Dynamics AX or D365 F&O.
  • Understanding of ERP functional areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Loan Management, Sales Order Processing, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, and EDI.
  • Able to comprehend and resolve complex business requirements and challenges.
  • Experience in creating functional design documentation and test plans.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining end-user documentation for software applications.
  • Basic knowledge of data extraction from MS SQL Server databases using T-SQL scripts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Responsibilities are performed in conditions where the worker is not significantly exposed to adverse environmental factors.
