Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is focused on the effective management and support of the company's ERP system. The role entails documenting business workflows, providing advanced technical support, and resolving user-reported issues. Responsibilities also include planning and executing updates to the ERP application, collaborating with development teams, and managing relationships with third-party vendors for product support and enhancements. Additional duties involve overseeing EDI processes, assisting with data extraction requests, and performing other tasks to ensure the ERP system operates efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Document business processes, customizations, and workflows.
  • Provide second-level support for ERP-related technical issues.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and research to resolve end-user problems.
  • Plan and execute quarterly updates to the ERP application, including quality assurance.
  • Act as a liaison between the ERP development team and support staff.
  • Recommend improvements or modifications to address known issues.
  • Collaborate with the ERP development team to test and resolve issues.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors for product support and upgrades.
  • Oversee EDI trading partners and transactions.
  • Assist business units with data extraction requests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise systems implementation or administration.
  • Familiarity with ERP functional areas such as Sales, Invoicing, Cash Receipts, Purchasing, Receiving, and Inventory Management.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable and manufacturing processes is advantageous.

SKILLS

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and effective communication.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES

  • Experience with mid-market ERP applications, preferably Dynamics AX or D365 F&O.
  • Knowledge of ERP functional areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Loan Management, Sales Order Processing, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, and EDI.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex business problems.
  • Experience in creating functional design documentation and test plans.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining end-user documentation for software applications.
  • Basic knowledge of data extraction from MS SQL Server databases using T-SQL.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
