Job Title: Resident Services Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Resident Services Coordinator is a vital role in empowering residents to achieve housing success. This position provides information and referrals to residents, focusing on housing stability, crisis intervention, employment, education, and health and safety. The Coordinator maintains a collaborative relationship with Property Management and works proactively to decrease eviction notices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides general service management, including intake, education, and referral of residents to service providers.
  • Develops a Resource Directory of state and local service providers for residents to contact for assistance.
  • Sponsors educational events on health care, agency support, life skills, and referral sources.
  • Facilitates the formation of resident associations within the property.
  • Monitors the ongoing provision of services from community agencies and keeps case management plans current.
  • Serves as a liaison to community agencies, networks with providers, and seeks out new services for residents.
  • Assists residents in building informal support networks with other residents, family, and friends.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
  • Minimum three years' experience in social service delivery with elderly and/or family populations.
  • Excellent human service planning skills and ability to engage community members in planning efforts.
  • Strong background in working with low-income individuals, addiction, mental, physical, and developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of sexual and domestic violence, group facilitation, conflict resolution, and mediation skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and volunteer management techniques.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good organization skills and sensitivity to diverse cultures.
Working Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment, working closely with seniors, multi-family, and/or disabled residents. Regular, predictable attendance is an imperative job function, and the ability to handle difficult situations with calmness, diplomacy, and good social skills is essential.

The primary language for this role is English.
