Field Sales Manager

The Field Sales Manager role presents an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate your leadership capabilities while guiding a dedicated sales team. This team consists of field sales representatives committed to upholding high standards of customer service and striving to surpass sales objectives.

As the Field Sales Manager, you will mentor, inspire, and oversee Field Sales Representatives and Third-Party Vendors to meet performance targets through the enhancement of sales techniques and skills. You will suggest and execute strategies to boost product penetration through sales to existing, past, and potential residential clients. This position reports directly to the Market Manager of Field Sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and provide constructive feedback to internal staff and contractors to meet all sales and installation targets.
  • Act as a business advisor to local dealers, translating strategic goals into effective operational and sales practices.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships, serving as the primary contact with Authorized Retailers and National Retailer Management to drive revenue growth and enhance product penetration.
  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new internal and external contractor team members.
  • Deliver personalized and ongoing in-field coaching and performance assessments to ensure team efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain high-quality customer service and retention while addressing escalated customer issues.
  • Conduct regular meetings and store visits with direct reports and vendors, and participate in company meetings to stay updated on all product information and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and analyze daily activity reports to ensure productivity and contribute to process improvements.
  • Design and implement strategies to maximize sales, including sales events, competitions, and incentives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for all direct reports and facilitate career development and succession planning.
  • Communicate and support all current and upcoming sales and marketing strategies to direct reports, and manage sales contests and incentives.
  • Stay informed on competitive intelligence and share insights with direct reports and key business partners.
  • Establish and leverage partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to drive growth.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience in a relevant field, or a combination of education and experience such as a bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 3 years of experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent experience in sales management.
  • Degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Business).
  • Familiarity with the local market and established contacts.
  • Experience in the telecommunications sector is advantageous.
  • Technical certifications in the field are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) in a professional setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively across the organization.
  • State licensing may be required for specific sales roles.
