Position Overview:

The Revenue Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager and hotel management in identifying and maximizing revenue opportunities for the assigned property.

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to create documents, charts, and spreadsheets to effectively communicate information.
  • Skilled in synthesizing complex data from various sources to meet specific needs.
  • Strong understanding of financial data and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Utilize critical thinking to analyze demand changes and production metrics to ensure effective communication of vital information.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Maintain a friendly, objective, and service-oriented approach in all interactions.
  • Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete necessary training in hospitality systems and processes.
  • Prepare and analyze daily demand reports and contribute to weekly revenue strategy discussions.
  • Conduct Group Displacements as required.
  • Adjust rate and inventory controls as needed and communicate changes to strategy teams.
  • Assist in the implementation of annual pricing strategies, including rate loading.
  • Analyze market pricing reports to identify pricing opportunities and assess competitive positioning.
  • Develop insights from TravelClick 360 reports regarding booking trends and competitive rates.
  • Communicate sales strategies for various timeframes and inform relevant stakeholders of any strategic adjustments.
  • Evaluate previous night’s performance: Did the hotel achieve full occupancy? Were overselling decisions appropriate?
  • Conduct test calls to ensure accuracy in rate quoting and selling approaches.
  • Monitor hotel website, OTAs, and GDS channels for accurate rate quoting and restrictions.
  • Collaborate with the strategy team to forecast future transient demand and assess actual performance against potential opportunities.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as requested by management.
