Role Summary:

In this pivotal role, you will operate under general supervision to define, implement, and maintain software applications. You will engage with end-users and collaborate with various IT teams to identify and resolve application-related challenges. If you have a passion for technology in the healthcare sector, this opportunity on the Revenue Cycle Team allows you to leverage your technical expertise while contributing to an organization that prioritizes patient care and excellence.

The Revenue Cycle Application Analyst will proactively support applications utilized in Covenant Health facilities and associated clinics. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Revenue Cycle Acute Care workflows, demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot issues between integrated applications, and identify opportunities for enhancement through collaboration with multidisciplinary analysts within the organization. A self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to engage with all levels of Covenant Health is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and formulate solution scope and objectives based on user requirements, devising solutions to address complex challenges while considering both technical and business needs.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for application configuration, table construction, and script or program development.
  • Analyze and revise existing system logic issues, documenting as necessary.
  • Build and maintain integration points for applications.
  • Lead software version upgrades and modifications.
  • Assist in prioritizing systems analysis, programming, and operational tasks to ensure effective service delivery to all application users.
  • Oversee quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate data usage, resolving conflicts directly with data users.
  • Manage small projects or segments of larger projects, coordinating team activities, identifying resource needs, and developing schedules for timely project completion.
  • Document specifications, including job and data flows.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of application and technical environments to effectively support customers.
  • Collaborate with vendors to design and implement enhancements to applications.
  • Act as an advocate for customers with vendor development teams.
  • Identify opportunities to meet enterprise information needs through automation.
  • Provide reports, information, and data files as required.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

Associate's degree in a computer-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience:

A minimum of six (6) years in Information Systems or a relevant functional area, demonstrating a deep understanding of technical operations in a client/server environment for assigned applications. At least two (2) years of IT project management experience is required.

Licensure Requirement: Professional or clinical licensure (e.g., RN, ARRT) may be necessary based on assigned applications.
