Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Senior Application Analyst is accountable for defining, implementing, and maintaining software applications while collaborating with end-users and various IT departments to troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues. The Revenue Cycle Application Analyst will proactively support applications utilized across Covenant Health hospitals and their affiliated clinics. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Revenue Cycle Acute Care workflows, demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting issues between integrated applications, and identify opportunities for enhancement through collaboration with multidisciplinary analysts within the organization. This individual must be a self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented professional capable of engaging with all levels of Covenant Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and articulate solution scope and objectives based on user requirements, devising and modifying solutions to address complex challenges considering both technical and business needs.
  • Prepare comprehensive specifications for application configuration, table construction, and program development.
  • Analyze and revise existing system logic issues, documenting findings as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain application integration points.
  • Lead software version upgrades and modifications for applications.
  • Assist in prioritizing systems analysis, programming, and operational tasks to deliver effective service to all application users.
  • Ensure quality control and auditing of databases to guarantee accurate and appropriate data usage, working directly with data users to resolve conflicts.
  • Oversee small projects or segments of larger projects, coordinating team activities, identifying necessary resources, and developing schedules for timely project completion.
  • Document specifications, including job flows and data flows.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of products to effectively support customers.
  • Collaborate with vendors to design and implement enhancements to applications.
  • Act as a customer advocate in vendor development discussions.
  • Identify opportunities to meet enterprise information needs through automation.
  • Provide reports, information, and data files as required.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Associate's degree in a computer-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience: At least six (6) years in Information Systems or a relevant functional area, demonstrating a profound understanding of technical computer operations in a client/server environment for assigned applications. A minimum of two (2) years of IT project management experience is also required.

Licensure Requirement: Professional or clinical licensure (e.g., RN, ARRT) may be necessary based on assigned applications.
