Join the Amazon Fresh Grocery Team

We are seeking a Grocery Category Strategist to oversee various aspects of our multi-channel retail operations, including vendor management, product oversight, marketing strategies, and operational excellence within the Produce and Floral sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving key business outcomes across all dimensions of the category. This role demands a strategic mindset coupled with tactical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance of product categories, focusing on enhancing vendor partnerships and expanding product offerings.
  • Lead negotiations and set the strategic direction for the category.
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives aimed at driving sales and improving profit margins.
  • Create exceptional customer experiences through innovative product management.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong intuition for customer experience, a solid understanding of business and product dynamics, and the ability to navigate complex technical concepts.

Success in this role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while managing ambiguity and competing priorities. Essential skills include high judgment, influential communication, analytical capabilities, and strong leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Excel.
  • 5+ years in retail, operations, product management, or business consulting with a focus on negotiations and results delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional/military experience.
  • Experience in financial analysis and P&L management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing large datasets to drive performance improvements.
  • Proficiency in vendor negotiations, pricing strategies, inventory oversight, and product development.

Compensation:

Our compensation structure reflects the labor costs across various US markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $141,100, depending on market location and individual qualifications.

In addition to base pay, Amazon offers a comprehensive total compensation package that may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of medical and financial benefits.
