Passionate about food? Are you skilled at enhancing customer satisfaction and fostering growth through strategic partnerships? Amazon is in search of a Category Merchant Manager (CMM) to join our dynamic Grocery Partnerships Team.

About the Role: Our team empowers Amazon customers to conveniently shop from grocery stores and receive their orders in a timely manner.

In this position, you will drive innovation for both customers and Grocery Partners, transforming the grocery shopping experience.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership in a rapidly expanding sector and operate largely independently in an entrepreneurial setting.

Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will be a proactive individual capable of establishing enduring relationships with prospective Grocery Partners, adept at navigating complex challenges, and capable of adapting quickly while maintaining momentum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a comprehensive P&L, including strategic planning, forecasting, and driving growth across the grocery sector.
  • Define goals and strategic direction for merchants and initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative ideas to enhance business performance, foster innovation, and scale operations within the grocery partnership domain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Marketing, Customer Experience, Program Management, and Finance to ensure seamless execution of processes.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external partners to meet deadlines and achieve profitability targets.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years in account management, vendor management, consulting, business development, or related experience, preferably in e-commerce.
  • High attention to detail with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional written communication abilities with a history of delivering projects from inception to launch.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to extract and interpret data.
  • Strategic thinker with a methodical execution style.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or with third-party sellers.
  • Familiarity with SQL.
  • Demonstrated history of innovation, including both new concepts and simplifying existing processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across the organization and with external partners.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks without compromising quality.
