Position Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated Maintenance Technician for our vibrant community designed for individuals aged 55 and above. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance operations of the community, ensuring a safe and pleasant living environment for all residents.

  • Foster a community atmosphere that enhances residents' quality of life through exceptional customer service and a welcoming home environment.
  • Establish strong relationships with all community residents.
  • Address all service requests and work orders promptly, ensuring repairs and maintenance of facilities and units are executed professionally and in accordance with the standards set by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the property and grounds to ensure resident safety and the integrity of the building; report any issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist with maintenance tasks, work orders, and unit turnovers as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Adhere to a preventative maintenance schedule as assigned.
  • Provide emergency maintenance services during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Maintain and repair community-owned equipment.
  • Assist with painting tasks in apartments and common areas.
  • Perform grounds maintenance duties such as litter collection, landscaping, and power washing of common areas.
  • Ensure the pool deck is cleaned weekly.
  • Assist with appliance repairs and replacements as necessary.
  • Help with the installation of new light fixtures and ceiling fans, including those in high ceilings.
  • Support the maintenance of pool equipment, including monitoring chemical levels.
  • Safely operate and maintain the property golf cart when required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Fair Housing regulations.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a customer-oriented Maintenance Technician who can collaborate effectively with the site team to meet the community's daily maintenance requirements while building positive relationships with residents.

  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and determined.
  • Strong communication skills; proficiency in English is required.
  • Preferred experience in residential property management, hotel maintenance, construction, electrical, plumbing, or painting.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including email and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to navigate online training and various software.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
