On-Premise Sales Support Specialist

Position Overview:

This role involves providing essential backup services, including the sale and servicing of Eagle Rock products, during the temporary absence of Account Managers from their designated routes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct product solicitation within a defined route area while operating a company vehicle.

  • Utilize a laptop with Mobility software to count and order products in each account.
  • Manage, rotate, and maintain an organized inventory at each location.
  • Ensure sufficient product sales to prevent out-of-stock scenarios.

2. Foster and develop positive relationships with retail partners.

  • Identify new opportunities to expand the existing product portfolio.
  • Design and implement sales promotions to enhance distribution and product growth.
  • Establish a strong working relationship with all retail partners.

3. Ensure marketing and sales support materials are effectively displayed in each retail outlet.

  • Secure optimal selling positions for products, including primary displays and coolers.
  • Install all brand POS materials to create a leading visual presence.

4. Execute special promotions within accounts to boost brand sales.

  • Engage with accounts to establish sales promotions through displays, giveaways, and sampling events.

5. Maintain effective communication with the Driver to fulfill daily responsibilities and merchandising expectations.

6. Operate the company vehicle safely and in accordance with policy.

7. Actively support the mission and vision of the Company.

  • Participate in all required Company meetings.
  • Engage in personal growth and development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Safeguard the security and confidentiality of all Company information.

8. Comprehend and adhere to all policies and procedures of Eagle Rock Distributing Company.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Subject to all Company policies regarding employment testing, including drug screening.
  • Three to five years of experience in beer sales.
  • Must possess a current, valid driver's license and be insurable.

Skills Required:

  • Strong sales and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of product characteristics.
  • Ability to differentiate between brands through taste testing and sampling.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language.

Reasoning Skills:

  • Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Capable of working independently while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
  • Able to address problems with multiple solutions in standardized situations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, bend, walk, or stand while performing job duties.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.

Work Environment:
