Job Overview

Position Summary: This role operates under broad strategic guidance, allowing for initiative and independent decision-making. The individual will be accountable for the organization, leadership, and professional outcomes in the medical assessment and treatment of patients at miCare Health Center.


Location:

  • miCare Health Center - Deland
  • miCare Health Center - Deltona

Key Responsibilities:

Medical Leadership:

  • Oversee the formulation and assessment of medical care standards across miCare operations.
  • Provide medical guidance to mid-level providers and support staff, advising the leadership team on medical policy as needed.
  • Supervise daily activities of mid-level providers and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Review monthly patient documentation.
  • Conduct regulatory compliance reviews related to care delivery and education.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with professional organizations and health agencies to ensure compliance with medical standards.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Utilize evidence-based practices to perform comprehensive medical evaluations, considering various physiological and psychological factors.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, administering specialized medical procedures as necessary.
  • Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with patients.
  • Plan and oversee the work of clinic staff.
  • Facilitate effective communication among the miCare team and patients to ensure coordinated care.
  • Document patient care as required.

Operational Duties:

  • Present to current and prospective clients.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process for provider candidates.
  • Manage medication formulary and inventory.
  • Evaluate clinic facilities and recommend design improvements for optimal patient care.
  • Analyze data for clinic proposals.
  • Coordinate clinic operations and scheduling.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Exemplify core values in customer service delivery.
  • Provide thorough follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately.

Quality Assurance Initiatives:

  • Participate in committees and teams focused on quality improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and report trends that deviate from quality standards.
  • Conduct self-assessments to develop and implement plans for quality improvement.
  • Offer constructive feedback to enhance quality performance.
  • Collaborate across departments to streamline processes.
  • Innovate or refine internal procedures to boost quality.
  • Train new staff as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school with a medical degree.
  • Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in the relevant state.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern medical principles, human anatomy, medical terminology, and community healthcare resources.
  • Board Certification in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Strong typing and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Work Environment:

The position primarily involves working indoors in an office setting with moderate noise levels. Physical demands may include lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional walking or bending. A typical workday consists of sitting and frequent use of a keyboard, with normal vision abilities required.
