Lead Cyber Security Engineer

RPMGlobal is in search of a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to take on a pivotal role in supporting cybersecurity initiatives for our esteemed Federal Government clients. This position involves overseeing the development of software solutions that are cognizant of cybersecurity protocols and practices.

This role may offer opportunities for remote work contingent upon client and managerial approval.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mentor a team of skilled cyber security and IT professionals.
  • Direct and coordinate cybersecurity efforts throughout all stages of the system development life cycle, which includes planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of intricate functions and requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies and regulations.
  • Facilitate the creation of logical and physical frameworks for implementing cybersecurity measures.
  • Review and prepare comprehensive documentation and presentations.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality cybersecurity services and products.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on all delivered services and products.

Travel Requirements

Anticipated travel is approximately 10% to various locations.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field, leading and coordinating cybersecurity through all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Familiarity with NSA's NCDSMO Raise the Bar (RTB) guidelines.
  • Experience with Cyber Defense Solutions (CDS) and Multi-Level Security (MLS) solutions.
  • DoD Cyber Security Workforce qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework.
  • Understanding of the cybersecurity interconnections within DoD Programs of Record and their sub-elements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related scientific or mathematics-intensive field.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • CISSP certification.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related scientific or mathematics-intensive field.

Clearance Requirements

All candidates must possess a current Secret (or higher) clearance and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.

Salary is determined based on qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 - $165,000 per year, reflecting the typical salary range and part of RPMGlobal's complete compensation package.
