Position Title: Quality Assurance Software Engineer
Work Schedule: Standard business hours Monday through Friday
Job Classification: Exempt
Primary Location: Onsite with occasional travel as necessary
Salary Range: Competitive, based on experience

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Proficient in operating computer systems utilizing Linux and command line interfaces
  • Strong background in troubleshooting computer hardware and software
  • Knowledge of DoD and DCSA cybersecurity protocols
  • Familiarity with DoD sensor systems such as EOIR, Radar, SIGINT, among others
  • Experience with deploying to DoD cloud platforms, including IL5 environments and above
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, configuring, and testing systems and software.
  • Reviewing software specifications and preparing testing setups.
  • Participating in design evaluations and contributing to requirements discussions.
  • Configuring test bench systems to validate software specifications.
  • Engaging with clients to clarify software requirements.
  • Assisting in the derivation of software requirements.
  • Creating software testing procedures to assess software specifications.
  • Compiling test reports and analyzing results.
  • Conducting field tests at various locations.

Considerations and Experience:

  • Functional experience with Linux systems.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with software configuration management and version control systems.
  • Strong skills in software troubleshooting and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of DoD mission systems, sensors, and networks.
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or technical discipline.
  • US Citizenship with eligibility for a DoD Secret Clearance (required).
  • Previous experience with Minotaur systems (highly desirable).
