Position Overview

MAG Aerospace is looking for a dedicated Systems Security Engineer to deliver expert systems engineering support for a significant NAVAIR acquisition initiative. This role may also involve leading projects focused on the formulation of engineering protocols and controls. Your profound expertise in NAVAIR SETR and technology acquisition methodologies will empower you to assess and analyze technological specifications and solutions.

This position requires on-site presence.

Top Secret Clearance is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide guidance to Program Managers and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads on technical issues related to Systems Security Engineering.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and summarize the evaluation of engineering requirements, testing, and reporting in lifecycle support across all Systems Security Engineering disciplines, including Cybersecurity, Anti-Tamper, Software Assurance, Supply Chain Risk Management, and OPSEC.
  • Create and review engineering documentation throughout the systems engineering and acquisition lifecycle.
  • Facilitate and potentially lead program management meetings to discuss engineering and acquisition requirements related to Program Protection Planning for Critical Program Information.
  • Act as a consultant and advisor for the program, engaging with various government, industry, and Department of Defense segments on System Security Engineering matters.
  • Participate in program and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR), analyze procurement specifications and data packages, and provide technical insights on Engineering Change Proposals and upgrades.
  • Contribute to the development of SOW/specification inputs for competitive procurement packages.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in business, management, development, and integration within aircraft, weapons, or operations, including at least 3 years in Naval Aviation systems engineering.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in preparing project budgets and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Proficient in creating systems engineering documentation such as Anti-Tamper Plans, Test Plans, Program Management Plans, Systems Engineering Management Plans, Interface Control Documents, Capability Development Documents, and Capability Production Documents in line with the latest DoD 5000 series guidelines.
  • Ability to evaluate technical documentation, including prime contractor deliverables, system specifications, functional requirements documents, and mission planning documents.
  • Experience in design related to aircraft in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware/Software Integration, or System Integration.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, management, budgeting, and coordinating technical and contract requirements.
  • Familiarity with developing DoD acquisition and technical documentation to support anti-tamper initiatives and the capacity to conduct technical analysis of anti-tamper capabilities.

Education

The minimum educational requirement is:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical, business, or management discipline.

Additional Qualifications

  • Must hold an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
