Advanced Interventional Radiology Technologist

Join our esteemed team at Nuvance Health as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. This role offers a competitive $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS along with potential relocation assistance and excellent benefits. We recognize the current shortage of skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologists and are open to training motivated candidates. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will:
- Capture high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring all physician orders are verified and patient demographics are accurately entered.
- Assist and scrub with the radiologist, adhering to universal safety precautions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any inquiries.
- Administer and document isotope dosages in line with departmental protocols.
- Monitor patients during procedures, reporting any unusual activity and ensuring their safety through radiation protection measures.
- Manage inventory and order necessary supplies, maintaining daily stock levels.
- Accurately document patient accounts and schedule interventional procedures.
- Ensure optimal radiographic quality for accurate diagnoses, confirming all images are properly identified.
- Complete all continuing medical education (CME) tasks prior to case dictation.
- Adhere to compliance responsibilities related to the role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required: Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Desired: Certification in BLS and ACLS.
Working Conditions:
Manual: Requires significant manual dexterity and coordination.
Occupational: Involves notable occupational risks.
Physical Effort: Heavy physical demands, with the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force.
Physical Environment: Exposure to various environmental factors, including dirt, odors, and noise.
