Work Schedule: Per Diem hours, 8-hour shifts.
Qualifications:
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Radiographer license from the State of Connecticut
- Current ACLS/BLS certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality diagnostic images while verifying physician orders and entering patient demographics.
- Assist and scrub with the radiologist, maintaining universal precautions throughout.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any inquiries.
- Administer and document isotope dosages in line with established departmental protocols.
- Monitor patients during procedures, reporting any unusual activity and ensuring their radiation safety.
- Manage inventory and order supplies, ensuring daily stock levels are maintained.
- Accurately document patient accounts and schedule interventional procedures.
- Ensure radiographic quality is optimal for accurate diagnosis, verifying all films have proper identification.
- Complete all continuing medical education (CME) tasks prior to case dictation.
- Adhere to all compliance responsibilities associated with the role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on years of relevant experience.
