Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment by following established protocols and regulations.
- Facilitate patient comfort by alleviating concerns, providing clear explanations of procedures, and addressing inquiries.
- Implement radiation safety measures to minimize exposure for both patients and staff, utilizing appropriate shielding and equipment.
- Maintain the quality and consistency of radiographic images by adhering to established standards and making necessary adjustments based on results.
- Accurately document patient interactions and imaging services in both patient and departmental records.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science or completion of an accredited radiologic technology program. Must be licensed and registered in New York and/or Connecticut and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient understanding of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, and radiation safety protocols.
- Familiarity with patient handling and positioning techniques.
