Position: PRN Special Procedures/Interventional Technologist at Nuvance Health. This role involves working on a per diem basis with 8-hour shifts. Qualifications:
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State Radiographer License
  • ACLS/BLS Certification
Overview: The technologist plays a crucial role in assisting physicians during interventional procedures, including the execution of x-rays and angiographs as per physician directives, adhering to state and registry regulations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Capture high-quality diagnostic images while confirming physician orders and entering patient information.
  • Support and assist the radiologist, maintaining universal safety precautions.
  • Communicate procedures clearly to patients and address any inquiries.
  • Administer and document isotope dosages following established protocols.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures, reporting any irregularities and ensuring their safety from radiation.
  • Manage inventory and supply orders, ensuring all materials are stocked daily.
  • Maintain accurate patient account records.
  • Efficiently schedule interventional procedures.
  • Ensure radiographic quality is optimal for accurate diagnoses, verifying proper identification on all films.
  • Complete all continuing medical education (CME) tasks prior to case dictation.
  • Adhere to all compliance requirements related to the position.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required, along with certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and a State Radiographer License. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on years of relevant experience.
