We are currently seeking a Resident Care Specialist to support our operations in the northeast region.


Role Overview:

The Resident Care Specialist plays a vital role in overseeing the operations of a Community's Resident Care Department, ensuring compliance with clinical, regulatory, and financial standards. This position may also involve assisting in the recruitment and training of Directors of Health and Wellness.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to current policies and procedures, reflecting compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate and enhance compliance with resident rights policies, addressing any grievances effectively.
  • Conduct compliance surveys at various communities and assist in developing action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Participate in State and Federal surveys and compliance investigations.
  • Support the development and review of performance indicators and survey data to identify trends.
  • Provide training and orientation to community staff on compliance and performance improvement processes.
  • Assist in the auditing of care assessments for accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in the selection process for community Directors of Health and Wellness.
  • Maintain knowledge of state regulations and monitor changes that may impact operations.
  • Foster partnerships with external vendors as necessary.
  • Provide clinical expertise and education to support the DHW role.
  • Ensure timely reporting of information and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrate respect and compassion in all interactions, maintaining integrity and honesty.
  • Exhibit a passion for care through interactions with residents, families, and staff.
  • May serve as a temporary Interim Director of Health and Wellness when required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Offer guidance and support to community administrators and health staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Multistate Compact Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance across all states of responsibility.
  • Experience in assisted living is essential.
  • Five to ten years of nursing experience is preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license in good standing is mandatory.
  • Three to five years of nursing management experience is required.
  • Recent experience in a leadership role within assisted living is necessary.
