Position Overview


We are seeking a Resident Care Specialist to support our northeast region. This role will require travel to various communities based on assignments.

The Resident Care Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of a Community's Resident Care Department, ensuring that clinical, regulatory, and financial objectives are met or exceeded.

This position may also involve assisting in the recruitment and training of Directors of Health and Wellness, as well as contributing to corporate projects and providing regional oversight.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory guidelines by monitoring the implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate compliance with resident rights policies and address any resident grievances.
  • Conduct compliance surveys and coordinate action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Participate in State and Federal surveys and compliance investigations.
  • Support the development and review of performance indicators to identify trends.
  • Provide training and orientation to community staff on compliance and performance improvement.
  • Assist in auditing care assessments for accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in the selection process for community Directors of Health and Wellness.
  • Maintain awareness of state regulations and monitor proposed changes.
  • Foster the company culture in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors as necessary.
  • Provide clinical expertise and education for the DHW role.
  • Ensure timely reporting of information and compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrate respect and compassion in all interactions.
  • Exhibit integrity and honesty in every engagement.
  • Show a genuine passion for care through interactions with residents and staff.
  • May serve as a temporary Interim Director of Health and Wellness when required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to community administrators and health staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with Multistate Compact Licensure required.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory compliance across multiple states.
  • Experience in assisted living is essential.
  • Five to ten years of nursing experience required.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • Three to five years of management experience in nursing.
  • Recent experience as a Director of Wellness or Nursing in Assisted Living is required.
