Position Overview


We are seeking a Resident Care Specialist to enhance our operations in the northeast region, covering various states.

This corporate role is pivotal in supporting the Director of Health and Wellness (DHW) or stepping in when the position is unoccupied.

The Specialist will oversee the Community's Resident Care Department, ensuring compliance with clinical, regulatory, and financial standards.

Additionally, this role may involve assisting in the recruitment and training of DHWs and participating in corporate projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to current policies and procedures in line with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate compliance with resident rights and address grievances effectively.
  • Conduct compliance surveys and assist in developing action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Engage in State and Federal surveys and compliance investigations.
  • Support the progress of corrective action plans.
  • Analyze performance indicators and survey data to identify trends.
  • Provide training and orientation to community staff on compliance and risk management.
  • Assist in auditing care assessments for accuracy.
  • Participate in the selection process for community DHWs.
  • Maintain awareness of state regulations and monitor changes.
  • Promote the company culture in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors as necessary.
  • Educate and support the clinical expertise of the DHW role.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Ensure timely reporting of information.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Exhibit respect and compassion in all interactions.
  • Uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
  • Show a genuine passion for caregiving through interactions with residents and staff.
  • May serve as a temporary Interim Director of Health and Wellness when required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to community administrators and DHW staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with Multistate Compact Licensure required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance across multiple states.
  • Experience in assisted living is essential.
  • Five to ten years of nursing experience required.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • Three to five years of nursing management experience.
  • Recent experience as Director of Wellness, Clinical, or Nursing in Assisted Living is necessary.
