Job Overview

Position Summary: The Front Desk Clerk – Floater plays a vital role in the daily management of supportive housing facilities during evening and weekend hours. This position involves engaging with residents and visitors, enforcing community guidelines, delivering exceptional customer service, and performing various administrative tasks, all while ensuring the safety and security of the environment. As a representative of Foundation Communities, the Front Desk Clerk is entrusted with the responsibilities of the property during their shift. This is an entry to mid-level role with opportunities for advancement and development. Shifts will vary based on the needs of different locations, and there is potential for additional hours when available.

Work Schedule: The clerk's schedule will be flexible, requiring a minimum of one 8-hour shift weekly, with responsibilities at multiple properties. Evening shifts typically run from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform office administrative and receptionist tasks, including answering phones and responding to inquiries.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to residents.
  • Communicate community rules and policies to residents effectively.
  • Address resident concerns and emergencies as they arise.
  • Manage emergency situations and contact relevant authorities when necessary.
  • Document incidents and prepare shift reports as required.
  • Oversee the sign-in/sign-out process and verify guest identification.
  • Submit work orders for maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and records.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation in good working condition.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain composure.
  • Proven ability to interact positively with residents, staff, volunteers, and supervisors.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, integrity, and trustworthiness.
  • Proficient in using computers and mobile devices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual capabilities (English and Spanish, Arabic, or Pashto).

Working Environment:

This role may involve exposure to potentially infectious materials. Employees may be required to clean up bodily fluids with appropriate training and protective equipment provided.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit for extended periods while using a computer, perform rounds throughout the property, navigate multiple flights of stairs daily, and lift items weighing up to approximately 30 pounds.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is $17.51.
