Position Overview:


As a Construction Project Coordinator at Flatiron Construction Corp, you will be integral to the ongoing management of large-scale infrastructure projects. Your primary responsibility will involve gathering and analyzing cost data essential for tracking project budgets and forecasts.

This role necessitates the application of resource management and oversight principles, along with a solid understanding of construction methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate with engineering teams and field personnel to assess production timelines and ensure that all necessary materials, equipment, and resources are available to maintain project schedules and budgetary constraints.


Conduct thorough reviews of shop drawings, design specifications, material needs, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle to guarantee adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations.

Provide technical insights for project planning and scheduling, identifying potential risks related to production, materials, equipment, or processes that could adversely affect timelines or financials.

Monitor daily production metrics, schedules, and budget forecasts to accurately evaluate project performance. Document daily operations using company-approved methods and technologies.

Update project schedules weekly for management and stakeholder reporting. Participate in regular project meetings, presenting updates on production status as required.

Execute additional tasks as directed by management.

Prepare and oversee a three-week work plan, alerting engineering and project management teams of any significant schedule adjustments and devising strategies to mitigate delays and costs.

Initiate and manage all Requests for Information (RFIs) as necessary for the project.

Accurately report project quantities using designated cost coding to ensure precise financial reporting. Collaborate with the accounting team regarding invoicing for materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.

Assist the engineering team with quality assurance as needed. Review necessary certifications and permits required for project execution. Engage in all site visits with leadership or external stakeholders.

Examine required Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all personnel involved in construction activities. Attend weekly safety meetings with field teams and project leadership, presenting field analyses as necessary.

Support the estimating team with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost parameters by providing relevant technical input.

Contribute to the development of design drawings and offer technical insights as required.

Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as necessary.

Finalize job close-out checklists with owner representatives and field teams at project completion.

Maintain an understanding of company values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction engineering is essential.

Familiarity with resource management techniques (e.g., cost accounting, basic estimating) and construction technologies, process systems, or structures is preferred.

Ability to identify budgetary and project costs and propose solutions to mitigate delays.

Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are necessary.

Knowledge of design-build and alternative construction methods is advantageous.

Understanding of financial reporting practices, quantity tracking methods, and cost coding is important.

Familiarity with construction scheduling and time management is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to take responsibility and communicate effectively with team members.
