Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Survey Manager to join our team at Flatiron Construction. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for managing survey teams at one or more project sites, providing technical input on engineering standards, specifications, and design instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Control and Measurement: Provide work control lines and elevations to ensure accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff.
  • Layout and Quality Control: Insure that crews perform layout work competently and accurately, and check as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques.
  • Survey Services: Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities, and assist with conducting quantity calculations as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the condition and calibration of surveying equipment.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate survey activities with assigned engineers and superintendents to meet construction requirements, and manage survey department resources and budget.
  • Professional Development: Maintain knowledge of Company values and strategic plan, and support published corporate policies.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma / GED required, Bachelor's degree in engineering, geomatics, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years experience in survey or land mapping required, Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred.
  • Skills: Proven leadership and management skills, expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques, strong communication and presentation skills.
