Position Summary:

The Automotive Parts Specialist delivers outstanding service at the parts counter, assisting customers with inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring the efficient flow of parts to our service technicians. Your responsibilities will include maintaining optimal inventory levels, collaborating with suppliers, and staying updated on the latest automotive advancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting clients at the parts counter, addressing inquiries, and providing expert advice on parts selection.
  • Manage phone inquiries and offer information on parts availability, pricing, and compatibility.
  • Accurately process parts orders, ensuring timely delivery to customers and service technicians.
  • Work closely with suppliers and maintain precise records of incoming and outgoing parts shipments.
  • Monitor and sustain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Conduct regular stock audits, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory records in the dealership's system.
  • Utilize technical expertise to assist customers and service technicians in identifying the correct parts for repairs and maintenance.
  • Stay informed about new products and advancements in automotive parts to provide current information.
  • Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately, providing customers with receipts for their purchases.
  • Collaborate with the service and sales departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of parts orders.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an automotive dealership parts department.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and provide excellent assistance.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and their applications.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements, including drug testing, background check, and MVR.
Compensation:

Hourly Rate (Union Pay Scale):

  • $34.75 / hour
    • Based on experience and qualifications

*The Automotive Parts Specialist position has a pay scale consisting of a base hourly compensation ranging from twenty-six dollars and seven cents to thirty-four dollars and seventy-five cents per hour.*

Schedule:
  • FULL TIME
  • 5 days a week / 2 days off
  • Tuesday - Saturday (9am - 6pm)
  • Weekend availability required
