Position Overview:

We are in search of a proactive and seasoned Billing Manager to become part of our finance team. This role is essential in managing billing operations, ensuring that all financial transactions are executed accurately, promptly, and in accordance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire billing department, from invoice generation to customer account management. This high-impact position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of accounts receivable, reconciliation, electronic billing systems, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and enhance billing and collections processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all operations.
2. Manage the generation and distribution of invoices, guaranteeing accuracy and timely delivery.
3. Lead the implementation and upkeep of billing systems to meet the requirements of clients and the business.
4. Ensure all billing and financial reports are precise and produced punctually.
5. Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, swiftly identifying and addressing discrepancies.
6. Collaborate with other departments to establish and uphold best practices in billing.
7. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to promote billing efficiency and accuracy.
8. Provide leadership and support to the billing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
9. Address complex and escalated customer billing issues, ensuring effective and timely resolutions.
10. Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant state and federal laws and regulations governing billing and collections.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
2. Over 5 years of experience in a billing management role, ideally within the finance sector.
3. Proficient in accounts receivable, reconciliation, electronic billing systems, and contract management.
4. Strong knowledge of billing procedures, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
5. Exceptional leadership abilities with a talent for managing and motivating a team.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle intricate billing challenges.
7. High attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
11. Strong understanding of customer relationships and exceptional customer service skills.
