Healthcare Administrative Coordinator

Position Overview:
MDVIP Practice Management, LLC is in search of a Healthcare Administrative Coordinator to join our dedicated team. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes Health, Dental, Vision, and 401k plans.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork, possess the ability to manage multiple tasks in a healthcare environment, exhibit flexibility, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
The role encompasses all administrative functions at the front office, including:
- Patient relations and communication
- Appointment scheduling and management
- Telephone operations
- Patient registration processes
- Insurance verification tasks
- Management of electronic health records
- Cash handling and financial transactions
- General computer operations
Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant business experience; or a combination of education and experience where two years of related experience equates to one year of education.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in a healthcare practice environment.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and computers.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR), preferably Athena.
- Strong skills in managing interpersonal relationships and customer service.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Effective organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of patient and employee information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Essential Duties:
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Manage reception desk operations, including answering phones and greeting patients.
- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments as necessary.
- Check in patients and accurately document their registration details.
- Conduct insurance verification and confirm patient demographic information.
- File and retrieve electronic medical records and files.
- Collect co-pays and cash from patients, ensuring proper authorization for credit card transactions.
- Enter charges and payments into the system, balancing daily transactions.
