Position Overview:


In collaboration with the Senior Director of Operations, the Healthcare Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing and facilitating the daily functions of specialty practices with lower patient volumes that do not necessitate a dedicated practice manager.

This role involves close partnership with the Senior Director to establish objectives and execute strategies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

The Healthcare Operations Coordinator will oversee various operational aspects, including but not limited to:
1. Staffing management
2. Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) oversight
3. Front office administration and patient flow coordination

Additionally, this position supervises administrative support personnel and medical assistants, serving as a vital resource for both physicians and mid-level practitioners.

The Coordinator will consistently evaluate current operational practices with the goal of improving quality, efficiency, innovation, patient satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.

Furthermore, the Healthcare Operations Coordinator is tasked with preparing reports and analyzing practice performance for the Senior Director, acting as a super user for Epic and providing training on all practice management systems.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:
High school diploma or GED is required.

A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a healthcare practice setting.

Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrated ability to utilize various software applications, including:

- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Microsoft Outlook
- Meditech (if applicable)
- Epic (if applicable)
- Performance Manager/NetLearning

Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication with staff, patients, and the public.

The ideal candidate must be capable of working autonomously and making informed decisions when necessary.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact tactfully with colleagues, visitors, patients, and healthcare professionals.

Flexibility, integrity, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment are crucial.

Additionally, the candidate must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.

Additional Requirements:
The ability to type at least 40 words per minute is necessary.
