TEKsystems is seeking a Healthcare Administrative Coordinator in the Baltimore region.

Essential Qualifications:

Experience in medical reception, front desk operations, or similar roles is required. Familiarity with EPIC software is highly desirable.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will manage the front desk of a bustling healthcare facility, responsible for patient check-in and check-out processes, as well as patient registration duties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Verifying demographic and insurance details.
  • Collecting and scanning necessary documentation.
  • Utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for patient check-ins.
  • Coordinating appointments across various departments.
  • Handling incoming phone calls and triaging inquiries.

Additional Skills and Experience:

A minimum of a high school diploma is required. Candidates should possess at least 2 years of experience in patient access, scheduling, front desk operations, or back-office roles.

Proficiency in EPIC systems is strongly preferred, particularly for candidates with experience from notable institutions.

Exceptional customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a high-volume medical office environment.

Familiarity with insurance and pre-authorization processes is also important.
