Program Focus: Women's Residential Services

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to prepare three nutritious family-style meals daily for a diverse group of residents, including adults and young children, within a supportive residential program. This role is set in a tranquil kitchen environment, fostering meaningful interactions with residents who appreciate wholesome, home-cooked meals.

The menu will feature a variety of dishes such as casseroles, soups, sandwiches, salads, and meats, with hot breakfasts provided on most days. Special occasions and holidays will be celebrated in the dining area, where residents and their families can enjoy traditional meals and festive offerings. Meal planning will be conducted in collaboration with a nutritionist to ensure dietary needs are met, including accommodations for special diets. The Food Services Coordinator will offer guidance on kitchen procedures, meal planning, and inventory management, allowing the kitchen team to operate with a degree of autonomy.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of one year experience in institutional food service, including preparation and presentation
  • Basic understanding of addiction treatment and recovery support
  • Current Food Handler's Permit for Washington State
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License with a clean driving record, capable of operating a company vehicle

Work Schedule:
Part-time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week with varying shifts.
