**About the Company**
Our client is a leading distributor in the building materials industry, renowned for its high-quality products and exceptional customer service. With a focus on innovation and market penetration, they are seeking a motivated Account Manager to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining and expanding relationships with customers while driving sales growth in the designer, architect, and builder segments.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Build strong, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts
* Lead customer account planning, ensuring performance objectives and expectations are met
* Meet and exceed sales quotas for strategic accounts, with a focus on increasing profitability
* Proactively assess customer needs and develop tailored sales strategies
* Drive CR brand penetration by engaging Designers, Architects, and Builders with strategic plans
* Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service and support, to exceed client expectations
* Develop and implement sales action plans, targeting high-growth potential accounts
* Organize weekly sales calls, and maintain monthly touchpoints with key accounts
* Promote product knowledge (PKs) and represent CR at branch events to grow market presence
* Report sales and display program updates to the Director of Sales
**Requirements**
* Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing
* Experience in the building materials industry is preferred
* Strong organizational and strategic planning skills, with a hunter mentality
* Ability to understand competitor landscapes and develop winning strategies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a competitive drive to succeed
* Willingness to travel up to 50% regionally
