Job Summary

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Performing reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
  • Analyzing financial data and providing reports to management for decision-making
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations specific to healthcare operations
  • Collaborating with clinic managers and other departments to maintain accurate financial data across multiple locations
  • Assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and working closely with external auditors
  • Supporting payroll processing and ensuring proper expense allocation
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and reporting
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare financial reporting standards
  • CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite accounting software, preferably in a multi-site healthcare environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
