Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to Dan Carriero, Global Creative Director.

Position Summary

The selected candidate will be responsible for crafting a comprehensive social media strategy for Smile Train's US and global platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the SVP of Communications, Global Creative Director, and Director of Content Strategy to curate and distribute engaging social media content that aligns with our strategic objectives and editorial calendar.
  • Act as the primary liaison for regional teams, supporting local initiatives and amplifying events through global social media channels.
  • Monitor and document social media feedback for internal analysis, providing monthly reports that include insights on content performance, audience behavior, competitive analysis, and industry best practices.
  • Supervise the Social Media Associate, guiding their professional development and ensuring the effective execution of the social media strategy.
Supervisory Duties

Oversee the work of the social media associate and interns.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel may be necessary to capture authentic social media content.

Qualifications

Required: Proven experience in managing a social media department with a track record of enhancing audience engagement. Comfort in managing direct reports and interns is essential.

Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field.

Additional Skills: The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for photography and proficiency in photo editing software, as well as strong writing skills for social media copy.
