Position Overview

As a Corporate Risk Management Consultant at Comma Insurance, you will be essential in guiding our clients through the selection of appropriate Property, Casualty, and Life insurance products, ensuring they have the necessary protection for themselves and their families. You will receive comprehensive training to assist both our established clients and new referrals, delivering exceptional service while addressing their insurance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage existing business opportunities stemming from internal corporate referrals and external sales initiatives.
  • Encourage a growth-oriented mindset within the Corporate and Branch Agencies by promoting insurance offerings to new and referred clients.
  • Design and implement marketing strategies for new insurance contracts, including personal lines such as home, umbrella, life, and automotive, while tailoring programs to mitigate client risks.
  • Generate new business prospects through cold outreach, emails, referrals, and networking, in addition to leveraging warm referrals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Agency Managers and Account Management team members.
  • Assess client policy assignments to recommend additional coverage that adapts to evolving needs while maintaining confidentiality in all client interactions.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in navigating various internal systems and multiple external carrier platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to establish trust with clients.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Deliver a client-centric experience through various communication channels, including phone, video, email, and SMS.
  • Comprehend and articulate different types of personal insurance coverage to clients with limited insurance knowledge.
  • Demonstrate empathetic listening skills with the capacity to ask relevant and effective follow-up questions.
  • Possess a strong internal drive to succeed and the resilience to overcome challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with account managers, producers, and colleagues to provide a seamless client experience.
  • Adhere to a consistent sales process to ensure all prospects receive adequate attention and follow-up.
  • Utilize logical reasoning to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various solutions and approaches.

Knowledge Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent educational experience.
  • Previous sales experience is preferred, though not limited to the insurance sector.
  • Maintain a valid Property & Casualty and Life Insurance License.
  • Familiarity with customer support principles and processes, including needs assessments and quality standards for diverse clients.
