Role Summary
The Information Security Officer is tasked with supervising and reporting on the management and reduction of information security threats throughout the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring the implementation of the Bank's Information Security Program, aligned with the strategic objectives sanctioned by the Board of Directors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervises and reports on the management and reduction of information security threats across the organization, directly reporting to the CEO.
- Implements the Bank's Information Security Program and associated strategies, including compliance with the Interagency Guidelines and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
- Ensures appropriate access control measures are assigned to Data Owners, with regular reviews conducted by those designated individuals.
- Reviews and approves security exception requests that may expose the organization to risks.
- Drafts and reviews privacy and GLBA-related policies and submits annual reports to the Board detailing relevant issues.
- Monitors and addresses current and emerging threats, advising the Chief Technology Officer and Executive Management on safeguarding strategies.
- Conducts ongoing compliance monitoring and risk assessments for customer information across all departments.
- Participates in significant technology projects to ensure effective risk management processes are in place.
- Collaborates with management to understand new initiatives and outlines strategies to mitigate associated risks.
- Promotes security awareness and training initiatives within the organization.
- Engages in industry collaborations to monitor and discuss emerging security threats.
- Acts as a member of the Incident Response Team during technology incidents, aiding in the establishment of response procedures.
- Serves on the Technology Committee to define security objectives and evaluate project success.
- Reports significant security incidents to the Board, Executive Management, and relevant authorities.
- Responsible for enterprise-wide Business Continuity Planning, ensuring all departments have up-to-date recovery plans.

EXPERIENCE:
- Must have experience in information systems management and GLBA compliance within the financial services sector.
- Preferred experience in regulatory audits and examinations in the financial services industry.
- Education should be business or financial industry-related.
- Bachelor's degree with relevant experience; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of banking operations and relevant laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing information technology operations and supervisory roles.
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities; capable of prioritizing initiatives effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
- High-level problem-solving skills, demonstrating commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
- Effective budget management capabilities.
- Success in this role relies on collaboration with executive leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure security and compliance.
