Senior Risk Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the objectives and initiatives of the SAFE program are effectively implemented and embraced across hospital partners.
- Collaborate directly with the Director of Hospital Operations, Site Directors, and Medical Directors of Operations to identify specific program risk and quality requirements, supporting local leadership in driving quality enhancements and risk mitigation.
- Deliver tailored solutions such as on-site risk evaluations or educational sessions, as needed and requested by hospital partners.
- Conduct annual or biannual SAFE reviews with hospital partners, focusing on specific SAFE risk and quality data, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development and upkeep of the Risk Management and Quality Department, including SAFE services, OBHG University, Patient Advocacy Committee (PAC), training resources, and educational materials.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Risk Management or Quality within the healthcare sector.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in working independently and collaboratively with staff, physicians, hospital administrators, and vendors.
- Capacity to excel in a dynamic, unstructured work environment, demonstrating self-direction in work initiatives and autonomous problem-solving.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Clinical education and acute care experience (e.g., RN).
- Certification in Risk Management (e.g., CPHRM).
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting are necessary, with more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hours/day). Travel is required approximately 10-25% of the time.
